Thursday, May 10, 2007, Sarah fainted at school. She was taken to a local ER & then transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of restrictive cardiomyopathy.

July 5, 2007 Sarah received her new heart. However, during the transplant she suffered a massive stroke that left her paralyzed.

Wisdom Teeth

Mom and Dad's picture

Hi everybody. Today Larry and I took Sarah to get all four of her wisdom teeth pulled. Our insurance authorized for her to be put a sleep for this procedure. Her doctor told us that he was surprised that the insurance okayed it, because they never do. The patient usually ends up paying for that part of the service if they dont want the trauma of having all four teeth removed any way they need to come out. So we were very grateful for that. It only took about an hour or so before she was ready to go home. When we got to the back she looked so pitiful, our hearts hurt for her. I think it took us both back to a time in our past that makes us sad. Sarah's dad got her in the car, and we came home as soon as possible. When we got home, we tried to make her as comfy as possible. She asked me if she looks like a chimpmunk, and I said of course not Alvin, She didn't appreciate my humor at all. Shortly there after she started feeling pain, and asked her dad to give her something for pain, her Nan said to put ice on her cheeks which made her feel better. With all this she was still crying, I asked her "what if I let you open a Christmas present early, do you think it will make you feel better?" She said yes, and so she opened Snow White. Her dad popped it the dvd player, and with this she fell asleep. I kinda knew a Christmas present would make her fell better. It was the extra pill she needed. Please keep Sarah in your prayers, that she heals quickly, and for her pain not to be unbearable. Thank you all for reading, our love goes out to all of you.

Feel better

Auntie's picture

Dear Franny,

I did not understand a word you told me yesterday, I hope I did not say "OK" to something I might regret. However, I also hope, that you don't remember the conversation just in case.

Feel better baby girl, we have a party on Sunday and Santa comes next Friday!
