Thursday, May 10, 2007, Sarah fainted at school. She was taken to a local ER & then transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of restrictive cardiomyopathy.
July 5, 2007 Sarah received her new heart. However, during the transplant she suffered a massive stroke that left her paralyzed.

Biopsy Update

Hi everybody. I wanted to let you all know that we finally got Sarah's test results. Her vascular test came back unreadable, so I don't know what the doctors will want us to do since we had to go to Tucson for that test. Her biopsy came back showing no signs of heart rejection, which is great news. Now they will look at the medications that she take, because those can also cause the symptoms she has been having. Problem with that is the head cardiac doctor is the one who decides which medication should be taken, and he will be here on the 17th of December. Sarah will have to see him in January, because on the 17th of this month she is scheduled to have all four wisdom teeth pulled. They will be putting Sarah to sleep for this procedure. I will give you more information on that as the date gets closer. Other than that Sarah is doing well, she hasn't been to school this week, because she had to have an in grown toe nail removed from the same toe she had done just a few months ago. It never healed, and it ended up getting infected, I pray that this time the toe problem gets resolved. Thank you all reading, and for your loving prayers and support.
Much Love,
Sarah's Parents,
Larry and Margaret Nolte
