Thursday, May 10, 2007, Sarah fainted at school. She was taken to a local ER & then transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of restrictive cardiomyopathy.

July 5, 2007 Sarah received her new heart. However, during the transplant she suffered a massive stroke that left her paralyzed.

Surgery Update

Mom and Dad's picture

Hi everybody. Sarah is finally home after a long day at the hospital. The doctor said the surgery went fine, the only thing is that Sarah is on voice rest for three days. That means absolutley no talking, or whispering for three days, It will be hard, but Sarah has to do it because if she doesn't keep quite the foam medication that was injected into her vocal cord can come out. Until then we won't know what Sarah's voice sounds like. Right now Sarah is sleeping, before we came home the nurse gave her something for pain. She will be seeing the ENT doctor next week, and at that time we will know how her vocal cords are doing.  I want to thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers, and I will update very soon to let you all know how her voice is doing.
Much Love,
