Thursday, May 10, 2007, Sarah fainted at school. She was taken to a local ER & then transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of restrictive cardiomyopathy.
July 5, 2007 Sarah received her new heart. However, during the transplant she suffered a massive stroke that left her paralyzed.

Camp Corazon

Hi everybody. A small update on our Sarah. She was accepted to go to Camp Corazon for four days. Camp Corazon is on Catalina Island in California. Her dad I weren't sure if we were going to let her go ( only because she has never been away from us) and sleeping at relatives houses doesn't count. She would be taking this trip with other kids that have heart conditions, along with camp counsels, nurses, and cardiac doctors. She is most definitely in good hand, but that doesn't stop us from worrying. We had to have Sarah at the airport by 5:10am today to get her checked in, once she was checked in it was time for us to leave. I fought back my tears, and walked away when I looked back she was still looking at us when she pointed to her eye, heart then to us( I love you) I also pointed to my eye, heart and to her and held up two fingers(I love you too). It hasn't even been a day and we already miss her like crazy. Please pray for our Sarah and the other camp kids to have a safe trip and a wonderful time at camp. When Sarah gets back in town I will have her write all about her fun trip, and the things she did. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support, we love you all more than words could ever express.
