Thursday, May 10, 2007, Sarah fainted at school. She was taken to a local ER & then transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of restrictive cardiomyopathy.

July 5, 2007 Sarah received her new heart. However, during the transplant she suffered a massive stroke that left her paralyzed.

Back To School

Mom and Dad's picture

Hi everybody, Well it's that time of year again, the children are going back to school. Time for school clothes and school supplies. Last year Sarah only had one class now this year Sarah has four classes, and going to CEA in the morning before she goes to West View for the rest of the day. Sarah will go and try and make up for the 1 year of not being able to go to school and the 1 year of just hitting and missing school. She has much to make up, and at this point her dad and I are still not sure if she is capable of doing it, health wise, so far Sarah had been in school for a week and she has come home everyday and fallen asleep. She still has all her therapies appt plus doctor appt, I have know idea where I am going to fit thoses in. Please pray for our Sarah to have good days at school, and for the students she meets to understand where shes been and why she is the way shes is, we all know that kids can be cruel, If were up to  her dad and I, we would keep her home under our watch forever. So all you parents that have kids going to school keep a good eye on them, and always watch who they are friends with, and never forget that you are not a friend you are a parent and it is are job not to be cool and keep are children safe(the not cool part I got from  my girls),so have a safe and great school year.
Much Love,
