Thursday, May 10, 2007, Sarah fainted at school. She was taken to a local ER & then transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of restrictive cardiomyopathy.
July 5, 2007 Sarah received her new heart. However, during the transplant she suffered a massive stroke that left her paralyzed.

***UPDATE*** Second Annual "Sarah Nolte Second Chance Car Show"!

The car show was rained out... we are in the process of rescheduling it. The date we are looking at is 5/16/09. That is not set in stone yet, though.
Keep checking in for details. If you would like to receive email updates, send us an email at sarah@helpsavesarah.com so you can be added to our email list.
We still made over $700.00 for Healthy Hearts! WOW! We can't wait to see what the actual car show will bring in.
Thank you to everyone who tried to weather the rain.
Hey Team Sarah!
We are so excited for our Second Annual "Sarah Nolte Second Chance Car Show"! CLICK HERE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE CAR SHOW FLIER!
Benefits raised are going to help healthy heart checks in students. Had Sarah been given a healthy heart check during her sports physical, she could have been saved from having a heart transplant.
We are still excepting donations - anything you can thing of we need: Gifts for door prizes, things to sell at out concession stand, ect...
We would love to see you all there! Please forward this to everyone you know!

Sarah is doing great, she is a happy girl & loves her life! That being said, we are in a heart transplant patient crisis mode - something that will happen the rest of her life. We had a bit of a scare last week, she fainted & had some strange things happen. 911 was called & she was taken to the ER. She was released but had to go to Phoenix Children's hospital for testing. So far there is no bad news but she will have to have more testing done by her transplant team. The past few months she has had some signs of ejection... so we are not sure what is going on...

As we spend this week preparing for the "Second Chance Car Show", don't forget this is the week of the "Passion of our Lord", Jesus was preparing for His death & Resuretion.
Our "Second Chance Car Show" couldn't fall on a better weekend than the weekend Jesus gave everyone a second chance at enternal life.

Good luck!
Good luck!
=)
I'm sure that everything will be alright.
