Thursday, May 10, 2007, Sarah fainted at school. She was taken to a local ER & then transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of restrictive cardiomyopathy.

July 5, 2007 Sarah received her new heart. However, during the transplant she suffered a massive stroke that left her paralyzed.

The Happy Song

Auntie's picture
One of Sarah’s birthday presents from us (Sarah’s auntie & uncle Mark) was to take her to the Wild Life World Zoo. So, a few weeks ago we took her. We all had such a blessed day. Sarah was so happy all day long. She was all smiles! There is nothing better than to see Sarah's smile.
Everything Sarah’s does has to be monitored closely. She wanted to go to the bird exhibit more than anything. Unfortunately, because of her heart transplant, she can not be that close to birds. She was upset about this, but spending extra time in the petting zoo made up for it. We did have to be extra careful in the petting zoo & sanitize when we left but in this video you can see how happy the animals made her.  (She did get to feed the ducks in the pond but she had to stand back & throw the feed in ... then she had to sanitize very good).
I chose The Happy Song to put our pictures to. Every time I hear this song I see my niece’s sweet smile. You will see what I mean as you watch this video. Her smile can brighten even the darkest of days.
Sarah we love you so much. Ever day is a gift from God, but some days are extra special. The day we went to the Zoo was one of those extra special days! You are loved so much! Thank you baby girl for the wonderful day filled with a lifetime of memories!

Thank you Leanna and Mark

Thank you Leanna and Mark for taking such beautiful pictures of Sarah, and for putting a smile on my face. I loved the video.
