Thursday, May 10, 2007, Sarah fainted at school. She was taken to a local ER & then transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital with a diagnosis of restrictive cardiomyopathy.

July 5, 2007 Sarah received her new heart. However, during the transplant she suffered a massive stroke that left her paralyzed.

No Talking - Day Two

Mom and Dad's picture

Hi everybody. Sorry I am so late in updating, my internet was down almost all day today.  Well day two of no talking has proven to be a much easier day for us. Sarah's shakiness is not bad at all, and she is able to feed herself. She is now getting out of bed on her own, but we are still walking next to her, because she still is taking pain medication, and we don't want to chance her falling.  When Sarah clears her throat it sounds like she has a real bad sore throat, so I'm very curios to hear what her voice sounds like. I'm sure Sarah is also wondering about her voice too. On top of Sarah having her surgery on Wendnesday, and not being able to talk, our youngest daughter Amber went in today for out patient surgery on her foot. She had a cyst on the bottom of her foot that needed to be removed, so I have one daughter with no talking, and I have another daughter with no walking. As this evening comes to a close they are both settled in bed, and watching movies. I wish days with teenage girls always went this smoothly, Oh well, you still gotta love them.
God Bless You All,
Sarah and Amber's Parents
